What were we thinking?

 We decided late Saturday night that it would be fun to change rooms for the girls.  It took clear through Sunday to get even close to done.  I still have SO much to do.  What were we thinking?  Well we were thinking that Brylee is a heavier sleeper than McKenna so we needed Brylee to share a room with Jaylee.  But we couldn't put Brylee in the toddler bed so we needed to make room for the day bed to be with the crib and it worked better in the pink room so we had to switch EVERYTHING!  Big job.  I am not sure I love the pink room but I do love the bunkbeds in the yellow room.  What a process.  I still need to switch closets and dressers.  FUN!

 The girls were good sports about switching around.  AJ and Brylee shared really well so we will see how they all do now.  But I do know everyone slept great last night.... except Jaylee.  She is our worst sleeper.  Hope that changed soon.

 Mom and Dad gave us gold coins and a clover that said they were to lucky to have us as kids!  So true! 

 I attempted to do a 3 leaf clover on Brylees hair that I saw online, it did not work.  It was even worse on AJ's hair so we redid hers but Brylee wanted to keep hers in.

 McKenna has been potty trained for quite awhile now, since she turned 3.  I am just late on posting about it.  Joy started a tradition back with AJ where they get to go pick out a build a bear and put "big girl" panties on the animal.  It has been fun.  AJ got a bunny, Brylee did a bunny and Kenna chose a pink snowflake bear.  At first she wanted the princess bear but changed her mind last minute.  They have so many choices now it is almost overwhelming.  Anyway all the girls got to pick one.  Tyler came and bought AJ hers.  Joy got Kenna hers so Glenn and I did one for Brylee and Jaylee.  This time AJ picked a panda and got a Merida outfit for it, Brylee picked a chocolate lab, and we got Jaylee a bear that lights up.  Jaylee slept through the whole thing.  It was a lot of fun.  One more to go!  When Jaylee is potty trained I will be so excited to be done with diapers I am sure we will let everyone get an animal again.  We'll see.

 AJ wanted to play with the adults and they were great sports and helped her learn.  She scored two goals!  One with her knee!  (she missed with her hands, brought up her knee to protect herself and the ball bounce off her knee and over the net!)

 Poor Glenn had a cold come on pretty hard this weekend, he gladly took a nap with Jaylee.

Brylee and AJ stayed the night Fri and Sat with their cousins.  I went to say goodnight to them before we left and Brylee was out!  Tons of noise and action still going on but she was done for.

We had such a fun, spontaneous Dawson get together this last weekend.  There were 53 people there, only 7 missing.  That is pretty good.  It was so fun.  It is always fun when we get together.  We celebrated a few things, Raylon and Emili came and this is the first time most of the family got to meet Emili.  Thayne and Kiama are moving to SC in April so it was a goodbye party for them.  Thayne got accepted to dental school.  Mary and Derek will have a baby any day now (she is due today actually).  And Zayvin graduated a soldier in the army.  Darin, Gina and Zay were not there because it was his graduation weekend but we celebrated anyway.  

Bonnie has friends that offered their house so that we all had a big enough space to be.  It worked out really well.  We also had the church for a night.  We did a BBQ, played volleyball and had a dance.  It was really a fun weekend where everyone helped with meals, snacks, games, each others kids etc... It was GREAT!  We did family pictures but I don't have those yet, I am excited to see them.  

Family is the BEST!
