AJ is ten!!!!!

I can't believe my oldest is in the double digits!  Where does time go??? AJ is 10!

AJ got a real doctor kit!  A symphony toy, earrings, fancy clipboard, Precious Moment statue, money, Mulan doll, clothes and other fun stuff.  Spoiled!

You can tell from these pics that her sisters love her!

Aunt Joys present came later. She bought AJ and her tickets to go see Mary Poppins!  And  a Mary Poppins Funko pop doll.  AJ is soooo excited for a big girl night out with Aunt Joy.

AJ wanted angel food cake and strawberries so we tried out a new recipe.  It was pretty tasty!

Lucky girl!  Homemade mac n' cheese and asparagus for her b-day dinner!

At age 10 AJ:
-goes by Angelynn at school but prefers family to call her AJ
-shares a room with McKenna and they do pretty well together
-loves to play pretend doctor, teacher, fairy, princess etc...
-is at the top of her class and has AWESOME grades!
-is very friendly and has a lot of friends.  She plays mostly with Cosey, Mikaela, Sarah, Brooklyn, Avery, Bethany, Aubree, Karlee..... and the list keeps going
-is very good at piano.  She does not love to practice but she loves to improve so she does it anyway.
-She loves to think of ways to make money
-she loves to be a secret helper but is usually so excited that she can't hide it very well.  But very sweet to want to help.
-likes to do restaurants.  Can make pancakes on her own.
-is a good cleaner, but doesn't like it.  All though many occasions she has said how much she likes having a clean home so I think she is willing to do her chores so that we can have a clean house.
-loves to be in Utah.
-misses and loves her dad and Mehl side.  We try to see them as much as possible but that isn't very often.
-favorite movie right now is Frozen! And she loves to sing all the songs.  She also likes Sky High.
-wants to be a nurse or teacher when she grows up.
-wants to go on a mission, get married in the temple and have a family.
-favorite food is bean burritos, pizza, ice cream.  Drinks mainly water.
-discovered that carrots aren't as bad as she thought
-likes to go running with me at the gym.  We play basketball, tennis or volleyball.  She likes tennis and basketball the most so far,
-loves music.  Her Ipod is on a lot! Like her mother!
-is good at getting her homework done, it is getting harder and harder!  Pretty soon she will be teaching me!
-Is a great helper at home and at school.  Her teachers love her!
-Is a great big sister.  Her sisters are so lucky to have such a great example to follow.
-Strives to do what is right and has a very guilty conscience when she doesn't.
-loves the care center people and going to church there
-wants to learn guitar
-is still a very emotional girl but that is what makes her so loving to those around her.
-Wears a size 7 in womens shoes!  And she is very tall for her age 4'11".  Almost 5 feet tall!
-Is a great singer and still enjoys TaVaci
-favorite colors are turquoise and green
-Is just a sweetheart and such a special child.

We are so blessed to have AJ in our family.

Can we just say WOW!

 McKenna, Jaylee and mom were playing around before the other two got home from school and mom found a new mode on her camera... FISH LENS!  Let's just say we are glad this is not reality!

 

 

 

 AJ and Brylee smiled all pretty for me not knowing what was happening, they got a good laugh when they saw!

Happy birthday Grandpa!

Happy birthday to the best Grandpa EVER!  We love this man so much! He is such a wonderful example of patience, kindness, love, generosity and being faithful.  It is hard to know he is in pain all day everyday but he hides it pretty well and never complains.  Such a great man.  We love you! Happy 62!

 

We went to Utah for Grandpa's b'day.  Had a fun weekend.  Glad we could go and see family.  We also saw where Grandma Speters lives.  Her and Ray seem very content and happy.  We saw Raylenes family and AJ got to see her dad.  It was a fun time.  Tyler got her roller blades for Christmas. She loves them!

McKenna is 4!

 McKenna definitely adds color to our life so we thought a rainbow cake would be fitting for her. Daddy is such a good cake maker!

At age 4 McKenna:
-shares a room with AJ on the bottom bunk
-is a sunbeam!
-is such a sweet sister (but can swap to a bratty one pretty fast, lol)
-thinks so logically it keeps us on our toes.  Example:  the other night she was in trouble for not listening to mom.  Mom says, "I am sorry but that is the last straw!"  To which McKenna says, "Well I will just make more straws!"  Funny kid, but really she thinks that way all the time, makes us laugh.
-loves to take baths
-loves pizza (she requested daddy's homemade pizza too, but just cheese and I did not get a pic.)
-loves to play with her sisters and Vivianna Malm
-likes to sing and dance
-does TaVaci and likes it
-LOVES Sky High, and any movie really.  She is a TV junkie!
-loves to draw and color but refuses to hold the pen the right way
-Likes bell peppers a lot!
-is not really into toys that much.  She will play with them once in awhile but mostly just plays pretend with Brylee
-is starting to play with Jaylee a lot, it is pretty cute
-went to the dentist and loved it!
-loves to talk to adults, especially aunts and uncles
-loves her grandpa and grandma time and looks forward to it
-has a tender spot for elderly people
-is not really an animal person (pretty scared of them)
-eats string cheese everyday
-is very particular about doing things her way.
-likes to learn new things
-loves playing games
-insists on two night lights
-is a smarty!
-is a very important member of our family.  She is such a character.  We just love McKenna so much.  She makes us all laugh and she is such a sweetheart.  Our lives would not be near as colorful without you Kenna!
