Provo Temple open house and double date with Mom & Dad!

We were able to go to Utah for the Provo temple open house. The Mehls came with us and brought Payton, Braxton and Hudson. The cousins hit it off right away like they play all the time. Especially Payton and McKenna.

 I love catching moments like daddy whiepering in Jaylees ear about the temple. 

 Joy got mom & dad and Glenn & I painter vouchers for Christmas. We found a night of the "love birds" painting and made it a double date. It was so much fun. Thanks Joy! 

 We also did hair cuts with Erica! 

 Bangs! 

 

 Brylee did a Wax Museum for class. She was Ameila Earhart 

 These two are just the best of friends! 

 Grandpa got sick with a kidney infection and Ecoli. He was in the hospital for a few days. It was hard to be in Idaho and not able to go see him. But Brylee made him a card so I texted it to him. 

 Brylee won student of the week at gymnastics! Yay Brylee!

Cold weather happenings 2016

First real snowman we have built as a family (plus Avery).

 Made a Valentines day box for McKenna and she didn't even get to use it. Oh well it was fun. Kenna with her friends at school for their Valentines day party.

What a TURKEY! 

 This was AJ's last Sunday in primary. The song leader makes it really fun by getting super dramatic about them leaving. The Young Women leaders were there to take her from primary to YW. 

We have a Young Woman in the House!

This beautiful and talented girl is now a young woman! She turned 12!! For her birthday she wanted to go to the temple. It was such a neat experience to be there with her, Glenn and I . She is truly amazing.

I threw a surprise party for her this year. She was totally surprised! It was great! We had Bethany, Grace, Maddie, Andrea and Cosey over. They were loud and laughed the whole time!

 At age 12 AJ:
-goes by both AJ and Angelynn
-has made the switch to Dawson pretty seamlessly
-is a great babysitter for her sisters and moms helper
-is 1st chair violin and loves it except the practicing part
-plays piano very well and loves it except the practicing part (ha ha)
-has too many best friends to name but the 5 at her surprise party is a good start
-has been to the Rexburg temple weekly since turning 12 and has also gone to the Oquirrh Mountain temple.
-loves her family, extended too.
-still loves to play games with her little sisters
-loves Percy Jackson type books
-is in an advanced math class and not loving it but doing ok
-is doing really well in school
-loves basketball and playing sports in general
-is excited to graduate TaVaci this May
-favorite color varies but usually it is lime green or turquoise
-loves collecting Beanie Boos
-Enjoys wearing mostly comfy clothes but also likes to dress up for the occasion
-is very thoughtful
-loves the care center
-loves playing board games
-is excited to be done with primary and be in mutual
-has a lot of friends that are guys, lol
-loves her bike
-Is growing up way too fast!

Sweet AJ. You are truly an amazing person. You are beautiful inside and out. You are very sensitive and so sometimes overly hard on yourself but I hope you know your true worth. You and smart, talented, funny and loved. You are a daughter of God and I know he is every bit as proud of you as we are. I know life has thrown you a couple curve balls but you have handled them with grace and maturity. The love and friendship you are willing to share with all you meet it truly an amazing gift you have.
We love you so much and are thankful everyday that you are ours. Happy 12th birthday.
